We were in a marriage class before Lent that was supposed to resume last night but the rest of the church I think forgot since there was only us and one other couple and they decided to start a new marriage class. The other couple couldn't come last night so we decided with the leader to start the new class and resume our other one when this six week series is done. It starts out with watching the movie Fireproof. I had seen it in a Christian book store recently and almost bought it so I was excited to watch it. There are two workbooks that are based on what you learn in the movie (actually the lead guy uses one of the workbooks in the movie to save his marriage). Kirk Cameron stars in it (I had such a crush on him in high school!) It was really good. I actually want to see it again so I can absorb more of it. It's put out by a church in Atalanta GA that has two other movies out (Flywheel and Facing Giants) that I might just have to go and find. Here is the link to the fireproof website http://www.fireproofmymarriage.com/ so you can check it out yourself if you want.
Actually throughout the movie I kept thinking about our new friends as well. She is a nurse and he is a fireman, I kept wondering how accurate he thought the firehouse portions were portrayed.
If anyone out there has seen this movie or the other two, drop me a comment with your thoughts. I'm curious if you did the workbooks too.
Love this movie!!! We never knew there were work books that went with it til recently, I would watch it again!! We also own Facing the Giants, we love that movie too!!!
