More pictures from the trip

Crater Lake was beautiful.... and even in the middle of July still covered in snow! In fact the road that loops around what you can see in the picture was still closed and we couldn't do ANY of the hikes - it ended up okay, instead we drove to the Rogue River Gorge and that was beautiful! It might have been my favorite day from the trip!

This is the snow line from the side of the Visitor center - thus why we couldn't do any hiking. They plowed the front for parking and shoveled a small walk way to the view area.

Trip update

We are in Washington for our annual Fourth of July trip. We spent the first few days relaxing and shopping and Friday I went on a 15 mile bike ride with some hard core bikers... they went on another 17 miles loop further than I did. I was a beautiful ride through the Wenatchee forest around sunrise. Then yesterday a group of us were going to go river running and Alice convinced Paul he needed to go. The pictures came out great and he has a huge smile in all of them. The boys had fun but Nathan was a bit cold the whole time. The first waved we hit knocked me into the boat, better that than out of the boat. There were quite a few "fun" spots rated a class 3. Today were off to Leavenworth for the Fourth Festival which the kids love.
