I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god
So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

I see the fingerprints of God in beach glass. I love this stuff. My kids do too. The first time I saw it was about twelve years ago in Washington state. Since then I have searched for it in oceans around the world. We have been lucky enough to visit the ocean once a year for the last few years and now my kids help me search for it. We make time for it in our vacation plans. This is stuff people have literally thrown away and God smooths out the rough spots and gives it back via the tide. God does things like that a lot, smooths out the rough spots.... I have a favorite picture my husband took of me and my kids searching for it with the sunset behind us. I have it framed with beach glass. I don't have it with me now so I had to borrow this image from google. I'll post the picture another time.

Beach glass is truly beautiful. I have seen jewelery made with it..lovely..
ReplyDeleteReading your blog tells me, in God's hands we are His "beach glass"..
Happy Fingerprint Friday.
I could comb the beach endlessly - to the point of having OCD - for beach glass! What an inspiring post and picture. I LOVE IT!! Found you through Pampering Beki on Fingerprint Friday. You thought of something REALLY unusual and underappreciated! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWow, absolutely stunning! My daughter would love to find such lovelies on the beach!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty...and a wonderful metaphor for Fingerprint Friday. I am thankful He smooths out our rough spots and makes our characters more beautiful like His.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great thought, Michelle!
ReplyDeleteYou're right that sometimes we need that smoothing out and He does that perfectly.
