My desire
The first time I saw one of these was two years ago at the SEMA expo in Vegas. It's a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. I stood in AWE. My husband had to drag me away. REALLY. Even though he drug me to the expo. I was kinda willing to go, who turns down Vegas when there's snow on the ground where you live? Actually we each had a conference the same days at hotels across the strip from each other, what are the odds of that? They had the car of his dreams as well, a Bugatti. They cost upwards of 1 million. If I remember right there are only six in the U.S. My dream costs a mere, $195,000. Honestly, that's at least obtainable in this lifetime. It's a number I can comprehend. But deep down I'm rather practical. I don't really want to own one. Getting groceries would probably be more of a pain that a fun adventure although I'm sure the kids wouldn't mind being picked up from school in it. But see again, there are more kids than seats. Not practical. I just want to drive one for a week. I found a place in Florida that rents them for $995 a day. It only includes 100 miles so at 202 mph you'd use it up in half an hour and who is going to bother renting one of these and not trying to get to top speed. My husband thinks that at that price it's ridiculous even to rent it. Good thing the rental is in Florida. I really wouldn't want to drive it there in traffic. I love going fast. The faster the better. I had a brief pang of jealousy when I learned there was a female race car driver. But that wouldn't do it for me either. Going in a circle would bore me to tears. Now if I could rent it and drive it on the Audubon I might be on the next plane tomorrow. I guess I should stop googling it. If they rent it in Florida I'm sure they do in Germany. I'm better off not knowing.
